One out of every three visitors that come to your website are now using mobile devices. That's right - one in three.
But, I hear you say, there's still two out of three that are on desktop or laptop computers. Two out of three ain't bad! Oh how wrong you are.
We might be at one in three right now, but just last year we were at one in four, and next year we will reach one in two. That's right: half.
Mobile web use is going to become the predominant form of internet access in the next 2-3 years. We are in the midst of a paradigm shift in website usage and if you're not getting with the times right now, you will soon be left far behind.
So I say to you: Get responsive already! Make 2014 the year you update your website to adapt to mobile device users so that they too get a great experience on your site.
But, I hear you say, your site's not responsive, who are you to talk? Right you are.
This is as much a rallying call for us to get ourselves into gear as it is to you. We are currently working on a shiny new fully responsive version of www.creativerevolution.com.au and despite our busy workload, we will launch the site before the year is out.
So for us too, 2014 will be the year we got responsive.
